Part of my ongoing Album For Ex Lovers project, Septembertude is a love letter to Copenhagen — where summer was ending, but love kept starting again and again. This song was born from a romance in Copenhagen, where love was real but never destined to be “forever.” The video was filmed during a rare warm September weekend in 2024, with Danish/London actor Nathan Altai and filmed by Latvian DOP Didzis Starastins. It’s a bittersweet ballad about the truth that not every love story ends with “the one,” but sometimes it’s those fleeting loves that keep us going.
